Jordan poultry and egg industry has witnessed a great development in terms of quality and quantity of production in recent years and is now able to meet citizens' needs, said the head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Fathi Al-Jaghbir, on Wednesday.

The annual production capacity of poultry factories has reached 240,000 tons of poultry meat and 1.25 billion eggs, which is 125% the Kingdom’s needs, he said during the inspection visit.

The representative of the food industries sector in Jordan Chamber of Industry, Muhammad Walid Al-Jitan: said the value of investments in the poultry industry is approximately JD 1.5 billion.

This industry employs approximately 30,000 workers and exports 300 million eggs, he added.

The head of the Made in Jordan campaign, Iyad Abu Haltam, said the campaign will focus on products with high specifications that achieve popularity in the local and international markets,
