Monday, health inspectors and control personnel in Russeifa, Zarqa seized and destroyed about 1.5 tons of poultry slaughtered in violation of the law.

They arrested the individual responsible for the incident. According to the inspectors, the individual conducted the slaughtering inside his home with the aim of distributing them to restaurants.

The Administrator of Russeifa, Sultan Al-Mady, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) confirmed that the individual had the intention of distributing large quantites of poultry which was slaughtered in an unlicensed place that is not designated for poultry.

"The place does not meet the health requirements, which is a serious violation," said Al-Mady.

Al-Mady stressed that the authorities will not tolerate any violations, and any violator will be referred to the competent authorities and transferred to the judiciary.
