The King Hussein Cancer Centre(KHCC) follows very strict health and safety procedures and every patient who enters the centre has to be tested for coronavirus, the Assistant Director General of the KHCC for Patient Affairs, Munther Al-Hawarat, told Roya on Sunday.

In addition, the centre's staff do temperaure checks on those who accompany patients, Al-Hawarat added.

Al-Hawarat added, we are trying our best to prevent the spread of the virus in the centre, but there are some obstacles that we face, such as the incubation period of the virus in which the patient does not show any COVID-19 symptoms.

He added, one of the new cases that were recorded in the centre on Sunday, involved a nurse who contracted the virus from a patient at the centre.

The nurse lives with two other nurses and she transmitted the virus to them, Al-Hawarat added.
