A 77-year-old man has died from coronavirus at Prince Hamza Hospital on Friday dawn, said the hospital's director, Abdul Razzaq al-Khushman.

Before his death and due to the deterioration of his health, the man was transferred from al-Bashir Hospital to the Intensive Care Unit(ICU) at Prince Hamza Hospital, al-Khushman added.

The deceased suffered from chronic diseases including diabetes and acute kidney failure, al-Khushman added.

The total COVID-19 deaths in Jordan now totals 26.
