Global COVID-19 cases exceed 83 million

The number of coronavirus cases worldwide reached 83,921,002, including 59,422,119 recoveries, according to Worldometers Friday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 1,828,052 people have died from COVID-19. 

The US has topped the list of countries worst affected by the pandemic, confirming more than 354,000 deaths and 20,445,654 total cases.

India is in second place with 149,018 deaths and 10,286,709 total cases, while Brazil has ranked third with 194,976 deaths and 7,675,973 cases.

Russia ranks fourth with 57,555 deaths and 3,186,336 infections, followed by France with 64,632 deaths and 2,620,425 cases.
