149 new COVID-19 cases in Jordan, 142 local cases

A total of 149 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Jordan on Tuesday, 142 of which are local cases, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 3,677.

The cases are:

• 87 cases in Amman — 60 of which came into contact with other positive cases.

• 18 cases in Karak — they came into contact with other positive cases.

• Three cases in Jerash— they came into contact with other positive cases.

• 30 cases in Balqaa— they came into contact with other positive cases.

• Three cases in Irbid— they came into contact with other positive cases.

• One case in Madaba— who came into contact with other positive cases.

• Two people who travelled from abroad who are currently staying in hotel quarantine.

• Five Jordanian truck drivers who entered from Saudi Arabia via Al-Omari border crossing.

A total of 56 recovery cases have been confirmed in Jordan on Tuesday— 12 were discharged from Prince Hamzah Hospital, 40 from isolation areas in the Dead Sea, three from Queen Alia Military Hospital and one from a private hospital.

A total of 14,774 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests since the beginning coronavirus crisis to 100,4323.
