Two deaths, 696 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded 696 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Health Minister, Mai al-Kaila, on Wednesday.

The deaths reported included; one in Hebron involving a 64-year-old man and one in Bethlehem involving a 63-year-old man.

The new coronavirus cases included: 102 in Hebron, 71 in Nablus, 48 in Bethlehem, 48 in Qalqilya, 71 in Ramallah and al-Bireh, five in Jenin, 33 in Jericho and al-Aghwar, 20 in Tubas, 13 in Tulkarm, 10 in Salfit, 87 in Gaza Strip, 48 in the suburbs of Jerusalem and 140 in Jerusalem.

A total of 767 recovery cases were recorded in Palestine, including: 270 in Ramallah and al-Bireh, eight in Tulkarm, 33 in Qalqilya, 23 in Jericho and al-Aghwar, 327 in Hebron, one in Salfit, 80 in Jerusalem and 25 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate stands at 69%, while the active cases rate is 30.4%, and the death rate is 0.6%.

Currently, 27 cases are in the Intensive Care Unit and four are on ventilators.
