Approximately 64,000 out of 100,000 occupational licenses have been electronically renewed and 4,100 new licenses have been issued, announced Amman Municipality on Tuesday.

The director of the professions and advertisements department, Adel Al-Sahiba, said the municipality has issued 200 licenses for home-based businesses, bringing the total number of licenses to 500.

Owners of home-based businesses are exempt from fees, based on a decision made by the Council of Ministers.

As of the second half of October, electronic services related to the 13 different occupational licenses will be launched, including issuing and renewing licenses, changing locations, transferring ownership, amending commercial registration data, and billboard issues.
