People living in Mafraq are extremely concerned about the high number of scorpions and snakes in the area, which they say are endangering their lives.

Residents are calling on the authorities to help them, accusing the municipality of failing to protect them.

Doctors have said that because of the desert terrain attracting these critters, scorpion stings are very common.

However, they have also said these scorpions have low toxicity, meaning their stings are not highly venomous, but residents are still worried and are requesting help.
