Jordan confirms 2 new coronavirus cases
Jordan confirms 2 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has confirmed two new coronavirus cases today, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 981, according to a statement issued by the government and the Ministry of Health.

The new cases are: 

- One of the cadres working at a hospital in Amman that receives COVID-19 patients.

- A non-Jordanian truck driver who was tested at the Al-Omari Border Crossing and was sent back to his home country.

According to the statement, one recovery case was reported today at Prince Hamzah Hospital.

Nearly 8,950 random tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 292,623.

The Miniatry also announced the launch of the online platform (www.emed.hakeem.jo), to book appointments at public hospitals and health centers, which is part of the e-health program (Hakeem).
