Health Minister: 14 new coronavirus cases confirmed in Jordan today

The Minister of Health, Saad Jaber, has announced that 14 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Jordan today.

During a press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, the Minister said that the new cases are six truck drivers who were found infected at the Jordanian borders, of whom one is Jordanian. Among the new cases are a foreign diplomat and seven people who had direct contact with the infected truck driver in the Mafraq governorate. 

"The total number of people who contracted the virus from the truck driver has reached 35," Jaber stated.

The Minister added that two recovery cases were reported today in the Kingdom.

"Nearly 4,971 random tests have been conducted today, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 111,285 total," Jaber confirmed.
