No new coronavirus cases were recorded in Jordan today, the Minister of Health, Saad Jaber, has announced.

"However, one new death was reported at Queen Alia Military Hospital," Jaber said during a press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management.

"Six recovery cases were reported today, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 351," the Minister stated.

"Nearly 3,000 random COVID-19 tests have been conducted today and all the results were negative. We have increased our health capabilities, as we have so far produced 1,300,000 face masks. In addition, the number of epidemiological inspection teams have increased to 160 teams across the Kingdom" the Minister stated.

He stressed that "the social distancing policy and the deliberate closure of many facilities enabled us to enhance our capabilities and we will keep working to develop a health and medical plan for the coming months."

"The comprehensive curfew enables epidemiological inspection teams to reach those who had direct contact with the COVID-19 patients," Jaber confirmed.
