Health Minister: Two new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Jordan today

Two new coronavirus cases were confirmed today, bringing the total number of cases to 437, including people who recovered, the Minister of Health, Saad Jaber, has announced.

During a press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, the Minister said that the infected are a truck driver of an Arab nationality and a student who had returned from the United Kingdom on March 15, and was quarantined at a hotel in Amman for 20 days. The Minister explained that the student first tested negative for the virus and has lately tested positive after he showed mild symptoms three days ago. 

"Three recovery cases were reported today, in addition to seven cases confirmed yesterday," the Minister stated.

"3,200 COVID-19 tests have been conducted today," the Minister said.

"Dental and medical clinics, as well as medical and radiology laboratories, will be allowed to open as of Monday, April 27, under certain conditions," the Minister announced.
