An electronic permit verification system the government has recently rolled out to facilitate individual and vehicle movement in the current partial curfew in the country is back online again after a brief downtime.

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, the entity which developed the system, said the system is coming under massive pressure given the fact that many permits are being simultaneously verified in the streets by security agencies.

The Ministry reminded the public that movement permits are exclusively given to authorized entities and sectors, noting that exclusions can be sought via stayhome.jo. It also urged permit holders to check the validity of their permits before leaving home.
