Arab Parliament calls for emergency coronavirus committee

The Arab Parliament urged the Council of Arab Health Ministers to take measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus to Arab countries, and provide medical supplies to virus sufferers.

During the Council's 53rd session, President Mishaal bin Fahm Salami called for forming an emergency committee to sit in "continuous session" to manage the outbreak in the Arab world.

The committee would also follow-up on the epidemic's developments, and take measures and make plans to aid Arab countries in combating the coronavirus, he pointed out.
