A source at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Higher Education explained that the Ministry and the National Bureau for Academic Accreditation and Education Quality's decision to accredit only five Jordanian universities was due to the inadequacy of the study methods and their quality to the standards set by the Bureau, according to Al-Qabas newspaper.

The source explained that the decision came after examining the quality of teaching in universities on the one hand, and how Kuwaiti students are treated in these universities on the other hand, in addition to a careful study that took into account the aspects related to all the interest of students on the one hand, and the measures to control the quality of education.

Kuwaiti delegations have made frequent visits to Jordanian universities, where they found that the study methods are somehow inadequate to the standards set by the National Agency for Academic Accreditation, Al Qabas added.

The source further explained that some universities' accreditation was revoked not only because of the quality of education but also because they gave Kuwaiti students special and differential treatment.
