The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) launched on Sunday, June 30, 2019, the first phase of the "Amman Bus" project, where around 135 transport buses will operate and cover 55 destinations across 23 routes.

During the launching of the project, Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz told Roya that the project is a significant leap in the public transport sector in Jordan.

Razzaz confirmed that all members and officials of the government are ready to use the "Amman Bus" when they want to move from one area to another in Amman.

The "Amman Bus" is one of the important transport alternatives for the Jordanian citizen, where it will be easier for the citizen to go to work or any other place using the buses operating through the project, Razzaz pointed out.

PM Razzaz said, "We are sick of traffic jam in Jordan. A citizen who receives a salary of JD 350 no longer has to pay a car premium of about JD 200, as the citizen can now get to work using the buses operating through the "Amman Bus" project."
