Antiques dealer selling artefacts for 4 million, arrested

Preventive Security personnel dealt with two cases of antiquities possession in Balqa and Jerash, according to a security source.

Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesman said that the Preventive Security Department of Balqa arrested a man offering to sell antiques for million Jordanian dinars in central Amman, after he confessed to hiding a collection of statues, stones and antiques which were seized and sent to the Department of Antiquities to determine their historical value.

In Jerash governorate, the Preventive Security Department arrested a man in possession of a statue and 50 ancient coins.
