Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the number of Palestinians who lost their lives since the beginning of the “Great March of Return” in Gaza Strip has reached a total of 171 Palestinians, 27 of whom are children.

In its statement released on Friday, August 24, 2018, the Ministry added that the number of those injured by the Israeli occupation forces has exceeded 18,200 cases, 3600 of whom are children.

Since its outbreak on Land Day on 30 March, 2018, hospitals’ statistical reports in Gaza has a 69 amputation cases, 380 medical staff injuries and three deaths, 1750 women injuries and three deaths, two media-representatives shot and killed while 285 injured. The Ministry concluded that more than 68 ambulances were partially damaged during the same period.
