Protesters in Gaza are continuing their “Great March of Return” protests for the fifth consecutive Friday, since its outbreak on Land Day on 30 March.

The organizers of this week’s protests marched under the slogan "Friday of Rebellious Youth,” dedicating the protests to the 40 Palestinian peaceful protesters who were killed by Israeli forces since the marches kicked off.

During the protests, hundreds of balloons were released, which were carrying pictures of all the innocent civilians who were killed during the past four weeks.

According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, more than 25 protesters were either injured by live ammunition or suffocated from tear gas inhalation today.

Hundreds of Gazans who have taken part in the protests and who continue to participate in them are doing it to demand for their right of return to their homes and lands, from which they driven out in 1948.

Israel has killed 40 protesters, including two journalists, and injured more than 5,000 people during the Great March of Return protests.

However, Palestinians are expected to continue protesting every Friday until 15 May, which marks Nakba Day, and the day the US is supposed to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
