Saudi Arabian Airlines announced that all flights to and from Toronto, Canada, will be suspended starting next Monday, August 13, 2018 and that all issued tickets to and from Toronto are exempted from any cancellation or refund fees.

Earlier on Sunday, the Canadian-Saudi diplomatic relation took a nosedive as Riyadh expelled the Canadian Ambassador, recalled its own envoy from Ottawa, and froze all new Saudi-Canadian business deals.

Canadian Foreign Minister, Chrystia Freeland, publically commented on the Saudi escalation saying that her country will always be standing with human rights, adding that “women's rights are human rights”.
