If you’re keen on having a unique number plate for your vehicle (and can afford one), you’re going to have to race other drivers for it.
Next Wednesday, the Drivers and Vehicles License Department (DVLD), in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, is organizing an auction, where drivers can bid on special number plates.
The DVLD announced in a statement on Sunday that 15 number plates will be going up for auction.
Interested car-owners can place their bids at the DVLD offices in northern Marka at 10am (local time), in Building number 1, Hall number 1.
In order to enter the auction, drivers must bring with them a bank cheque certified by the DVLD’s accountant, or at least a 10% cash deposit of the number plate’s minimum value.
The starting price in JOD for the following number plates is:
A 16% sales tax will be added to the winning bid price.
