In his first-ever appearance in Saudi Arabia, Hollywood star, John Travolta arrived to Saudi Arabia in the weekend to “discuss his career” in Riyadh.
Hosted by the General Entertainment Authority- which is responsible for the country’s expanding entertainment sector, Travolta took part in a live discussion to talk about his fame journey in Hollywood.
He also took questions from the audience in the main event opening, "An Evening with John Travolta", which was open to public, on Friday at the Apex Convention Centre in Riyadh.
A day before, the Algerian singer, Cheb Khaled, had performed his first concert in Saudi Arabia alongside American rapper Nelly, on Thursday.
After Cheb Khaled published his pictures performing Umrah with Kuwaiti director Yacoub al-Muhanna, he arrived in Jeddah to perform his first concert in the country at the King Abdullah City.
While Saudi Arabia had never known musical concerts or movies screenings before, this comes amid controversial changes in the country, after 35-year ban on cinemas was lifted, and they announced the reopening of the entertainment hubs early next year.
