A person was fatally shot by the security authorities after he got out of a vehicle while carrying a firearm near the US Consulate building in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday evening, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The security authorities promptly responded to the situation and took necessary action, resulting in an exchange of gunfire that led to the death of the gunman.

Additionally, a Nepalese worker who was serving as a security guard at the consulate after he was injured and later passed away.

Security investigations are currently underway to determine the details surrounding the attack.
