United Arab Emirates' Foreign Ministry announced the arrival of the inaugural vessel, via the maritime route to Gaza, transporting 200 tons of food and relief provisions.

The ship departed from the port of Larinka, situated between Cyprus and Gaza, in collaboration with the World Central Kitchen Foundation and Cyprus, as stated by the UAE Foreign Ministry.

The UAE highlighted that the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in the region necessitates embracing a collaborative international approach to swiftly alleviate its impact on innocent civilians. This entails ensuring the immediate, secure, and unimpeded delivery of aid on a significant and sustainable scale.

Emphasizing that the sea corridor forms part of ongoing endeavors to enhance the flow of aid and commercial goods through all available channels, the Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to addressing the urgent humanitarian needs in Gaza.
