The Public Security Directorate (PSD) reported that it responded to 18,000 calls on the first day of the weather instability, particularly between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, resulting in 8,000 incidents addressed.

During this period, the PSD responded to around 150 reports related to the weather conditions, focusing on evacuating trapped individuals and addressing rising water levels.

According to Captain Mohammed Abu Arabi, head of the Monitoring and Control Department, the technology of caller location significantly saved time and effort for security forces, improving response speed.

However, some calls turned out to be non-emergencies after investigation, emphasizing the need to concentrate communications on urgent cases during such times to ensure services reach all in need without exhausting resources.

The Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) provided humanitarian services during the storm, notably evacuating 16 people trapped by rainwater in a house in Karak and securing them to a safe area.

In Zarqa, CDD teams assisted residents of a flooded building, while in Madaba, two individuals trapped by rainwater in a farm were safely evacuated.

In East Amman, CDD teams handled various reports of rising water levels in residential homes without notable injuries.

The PSD, along with the CDD, the Media Directorate, and the Community Policing Directorate, activated their winter awareness and media plan, positively impacting citizens' preventative awareness.

The coordinated efforts and readiness of state institutions contributed to minimizing and addressing incidents throughout the kingdom.

The PSD urged the public not to hesitate to call the unified emergency number 911 for assistance in emergencies.
