A teacher in a school under the jurisdiction of the Naour District Directorate of Education was subjected to an assault Thursday, a source told Roya.

The assault occurred after the morning assembly, following a verbal altercation between a student and the teacher due to the student's failure in one of the subjects, resulting in a physical attack.

The source added that the teacher filed a complaint and the local police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
