Cadres of the Vector Control and Animal Welfare Department have started sterilizing gas cylinders with sterile materials, as part of Jordan's measures to confront coronavirus.

"The government's curfew decision did not include gas cylinders distribution, so it is important to ensure that they are being sterilized. We have started sterilizing gas cylinders as one of the procedures required to tackle the virus," the Director of the Department, Eng, Farhan Hamarsheh stated this morning.

"Sterilization also included gas transportation vehicles," he said, stressing that the sterilization will be carried out twice a day by qualified and trained cadres.

He pointed out that the sterilization rates are carried out according to the rates recommended globally and by specialists in the Ministry of Health.
