Iranian Justice Minister Amin-Hossein Rahimi stated on Tuesday that Iran’s executive government and judiciary have initiated coordinated legal proceedings targeting those responsible for military strikes on civilian areas.

"Legal and judicial follow-up regarding the criminals has begun in the government and the judiciary," he said.

Speaking at the presentation of a musical composition dedicated to civilian victims titled "Voiceless Angels," Rahimi pointed to incidents in Minab, Lamerd, and other regional cities, referencing casualties among women and children and strikes impacting civilian facilities such as a school in Minab.

"Legal and judicial follow-up regarding these perpetrators has commenced within both the government and the judiciary," Rahimi stated, describing the targeting of non-combatant populations as actions that fall outside legitimate military engagement.

Rahimi framed the situation through international legal conventions, contending that unauthorized cross-border military strikes constitute crimes under international law unless they satisfy criteria of self-defense or operate under a mandate issued by the United Nations Security Council.

He added that while Iran reserves the right to defend its territory when attacked, foreign military operations targeting civilian sites violate established global statutes.
