  • Iran's deputy parliament speaker says Tehran has no intention of negotiating over its nuclear program, regardless of US pressure.
  • Ali Nikzad says Washington has nothing new to offer and accuses it of repeatedly violating commitments and bombing Iranian nuclear facilities.

Iran has no intention of engaging in nuclear negotiations with the United States, regardless of pressure, Deputy Parliament Speaker Ali Nikzad said, ruling out a return to talks with Washington.

Speaking during a parliamentary session, Nikzad said Iran's resilience and military capabilities had forced the United States and its allies to confront what he described as the reality of the Islamic Republic's power.

“They must accept that they have no choice but to acknowledge the power of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he said.

“It is the Americans, not the Iranian nation, who will ultimately surrender in this conflict,” Nikzad added.

Nikzad stressed that Tehran would not negotiate over its nuclear program, arguing that Washington had no new proposals to present.

“The great nation has already granted its enemies ample opportunity for negotiations in this arena, but it was met only with repeated breaches of promises and the illegal bombardment of parts of its peaceful nuclear facilities,” he said.

His remarks come amid continued tensions between Tehran and Washington over Iran's nuclear program and the prospects of renewed negotiations.
