Iran has ruled out negotiations with the United States until seven conditions set by Tehran are fulfilled, while warning that any renewed military confrontation would trigger a devastating response, according to the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Rezaei.
Rezaei said Iran's resistance had helped establish a new regional order shaped by countries within the region rather than outside powers, arguing that regional security could not be achieved without Tehran's involvement.
He also said the war had demonstrated Iran's strategic position in the region and insisted that the country would not abandon what he described as its national rights under any circumstances.
Addressing the possibility of renewed hostilities, Rezaei said Iran's armed forces were fully prepared for another confrontation with Washington. He warned that any further military action against the country would be met with what he described as devastating strikes, adding that Tehran's central deterrence objective was to end the conflict in a way that would prevent future attacks.
He further warned that targeting the Iranian nation would have consequences extending beyond the region, claiming that the repercussions of a US war against Iran would affect American households and the wider international community.
Rezaei also criticized Germany and France, accusing both countries of being staunch supporters of the US-’Israeli’ military campaign against Iran.
On Iran's leadership, he said Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei was fully informed of all aspects of the country's affairs.
The remarks come amid continued uncertainty over diplomatic efforts to end the conflict. Tehran has maintained that it will not resume negotiations or reopen the Strait of Hormuz until Washington meets its seven conditions, which have been conveyed through regional mediators.
Rezaei has previously said the conditions include ending hostilities on all fronts, releasing frozen Iranian assets and lifting the US naval blockade. He has also warned that Iran would use additional military capabilities if the conflict resumes.
