  • Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said progress in talks with the United States depends on agreement to Tehran’s seven conditions.
  • He said the conditions had been repeatedly communicated to mediators and that a “carrot-and-stick approach” would not work.

Iran’s demands reportedly include lifting the US naval blockade, releasing frozen funds and ending the 'Israeli' war in Lebanon.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said agreement to Iran’s seven conditions is the only way to make progress in negotiations with the United States.

In a social media post, Ghalibaf said Tehran’s conditions had been “repeatedly and clearly stated to the mediators.”

“The carrot-and-stick approach has no effect on Iran. Progress can only be achieved once Iran’s seven conditions have been agreed upon,” he added.

Iran has put forward seven conditions for ending the war with the United States, including lifting the US naval blockade, releasing frozen Iranian funds and ending the 'Israeli' war in Lebanon.
