American actress and singer Tovah Feldshuh has pushed back against co-star Adam Brody’s pro-Palestine remarks after he characterized 'Israel’s' military campaign in Gaza as genocide.

“To accuse the Jewish people of genocide is wild,” Feldshuh told The New York Post. “It’s right out of Hitler’s playbook. You take the victim and you make the victim the perpetrator.” She stated that 'Israel's' perseverance is "crucial to the well-being of the democratic world," warning of a "horseshoe effect."

Brody had previously gone on the record during an interview with GQ, stating, “Put me down as thinking it’s a genocide. Put me down as wanting a free Palestine.” Explaining his decision to speak out, Brody remarked that the war had reached a long-overdue "breaking point" and urged Washington to reconsider foreign policies he argued have fueled the humanitarian crisis.

Brody noted that he felt compelled to publicly register his support for Palestinian liberation and speak out against the scale of civilian suffering in the enclave.

He also expressed hope that US leadership would reassess and correct foreign policies that he argued have enabled the humanitarian crisis to escalate.
