  • Field footage captured extensive destruction across northwest of Hebron
  • The Vice President of the State of Palestine and Vice Chairman of the PLO Executive Committee condemned the demolitions as collective punishment

Footage shows 'Israeli' demolition operations in the Farsh al-Hawa area northwest of Hebron caused widespread destruction, reducing local buildings and structures to rubble.

'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed a broad military offensive across the occupied West Bank on Friday, following an operation near Hebron in which two Palestinian gunmen killed two soldiers.

Hussein al-Sheikh, Vice President of the State of Palestine and Vice Chairman of the PLO Executive Committee, strongly condemned the 'Israeli' operations in Hebron.

"The policy of collective punishment pursued by the occupation government against our Palestinian people warrants clear international condemnation, and serious action from the international community to stop these violations, hold those responsible accountable, and ensure they do not escape impunity, in accordance with international law," al-Sheikh stated.

He added that "an entire people must not remain hostage to policies of collective punishment, nor should civilian suffering pass without accountability or responsibility".

Hamas also condemned the 'Israeli' campaign in the West Bank, citing incursions, arrests, house demolitions, and forced civilian evacuations in Hebron.

Hamas described the measures as an extension of broader aggression against the Palestinian people, stating that they would not break public resolve while calling for unified national alignment and international intervention to halt the escalation.

The developments follow an intensification of military operations across Hebron in the occupied West Bank and surrounding Palestinian villages, where 'Israeli' forces tightened security measures, set up road closures, and restricted residents' movement between the city and adjacent towns. The Ibrahimi Mosque was also closed to Palestinian worshippers following the incident.

The restrictions were imposed after 'Israeli' forces killed two Palestinian men during an armed exchange following a shooting near the 'Israeli' settlement of Telem, south of Hebron on Friday.

Hamas commended the shooting, framing the action as a direct act of resistance and a justified response to ongoing 'Israeli' military operations and violations.
