Jordanian Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan delivered a stern warning to extremist groups during an emergency security meeting in Karak Governorate today, vowing that those responsible for the deadly terrorist crime will face full legal reckoning.
Offering prayers for the victims killed in the attack and wishing a full recovery for the wounded, Prime Minister Hassan declared that the state will bring the full force of the law against those involved.
"The sinful, criminal, and stray hands that claimed the lives of our honorable sons today will not escape punishment," Prime Minister Hassan stated. "Under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, all state agencies and resources have been mobilized to bring these criminals to justice and ensure they receive the punishment they deserve. Our security apparatus will not hesitate, and we will apprehend them."
Addressing the ideology behind the attack, Prime Minister Hassan emphasized that the crime was a direct consequence of Takfiri extremism and blind radicalism, affirming that Jordan will actively confront such thought.
"We will not allow society to be drawn down this path," Hassan stressed. "We will take the maximum legal measures against anyone practicing sedition or seeking to introduce extremism into our society. This is an absolute necessity."
The Prime Minister concluded by reiterating the Kingdom's united stance under the Hashemite leadership.
"Guided by His Majesty the King, we will remain, as we have always been, an impenetrable barrier against this Takfiri ideology and these misguided Khawarij who have no place among us," Hassan stated. "There is no place in our country or society for anyone who collaborates with them."
