PM chairs emergency Security Cabinet meeting in Karak following terrorist attack

Jordan’s Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan is presiding over an emergency Security Cabinet meeting today at the Karak Governorate headquarters to direct state measures following a deadly terrorist attack in the region.

The meeting brings together key cabinet ministers and senior officials responsible for security, administrative, and emergency operations to review and coordinate the full response of all relevant state agencies.

The high-level gathering follows a criminal terrorist shooting that targeted mourners at a funeral procession in Karak Governorate.

During the session, Prime Minister Hassan and attending officials are reviewing updates from field commanders and law enforcement units overseeing ongoing security operations.

The meeting aims to streamline inter-agency coordination, assess investigative progress, and reinforce local security protocols across the governorate.

Authorities reiterated that state institutions under Prime Minister Hassan's direction will maintain a firm, unified stance to ensure justice is served and to maintain public safety and stability.
