  • The Yemeni Women Empowerment Foundation says it documented 491 alleged Houthi violations in Taiz governorate between October 14 and 22.
  • The report cited 130 civilian deaths, 68 abductions, 74 home raids, and damage to dozens of homes and civilian vehicles.

The Yemeni Women Empowerment Foundation (YWEF) says it has documented 491 violations by Houthi forces in Yemen’s Taiz governorate between October 14 and 22, including shelling, sniper fire, abductions, and attacks on residential areas.

In a report cited by Yemen’s state-run Saba news agency, the organization said the reported incidents had killed 130 civilians and caused widespread damage to civilian property.

The report documented 68 abductions and 74 raids on homes during the nine-day period. It also recorded damage to 52 houses and 29 civilian vehicles.

According to the foundation, Houthi forces fired approximately 356 projectiles, including nine ballistic missiles, during the period. The reported violations also included the use of landmines and sniper fire targeting civilian areas.

The figures and allegations were reported by the organization and have not been independently verified.

Among the incidents cited by the foundation was an attack on an ambulance in the al-Sarari area of Taiz governorate.

The organization said the incident killed a paramedic and a young woman, injured a doctor, and destroyed the ambulance.

The foundation called for independent investigations into the reported violations and urged the international community to take measures to protect civilians and medical personnel.

The report adds to continuing concerns over the impact of Yemen’s prolonged conflict on civilians, residential areas, and access to medical care.
