Circulating footage allegedly shows an 'Israeli' soldier violently throwing a cat over a fence at the Havat HaShomer military base, raising concerns over the treatment of animals.

The footage appears to show the soldier picking up the cat and hurling it over the fence. The circumstances surrounding the incident, including when it occurred, remain unclear.

The footage follows previous reports of animal cruelty involving 'Israeli' soldiers and military bases.

In Sep. 2026, ‘Israeli’ media outlet N12 reported allegations by animal welfare advocates that animals found injured or abandoned at military bases had not received adequate care. The report also described a case involving a lost dog at Nevatim Air Base, where an investigation by the military police was reportedly opened following allegations that the animal had been tied to a tree without food or water. The military said responsibility for stray animals lay with the Agriculture Ministry and local authorities.
