'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cancelled his scheduled attendance at a Beitar Jerusalem football match at Teddy Stadium in occupied Jerusalem, following urgent intelligence warnings of an imminent security threat in the area.

Immediately following the alert, 'Israeli' security forces established a tight cordon and raised readiness levels across the neighborhoods and routes leading to the stadium.

The deployment followed alleged intelligence reports indicating that a cell planned to carry out a shooting attack targeting the venue or its immediate surroundings.

Two suspects detained

As part of the rapid field response, security reports indicated that 'Israeli' forces arrested two young men from the town of Anata and the Shuafat refugee camp on suspicion of planning the attack and belonging to the targeted cell.

Concurrently, special forces units with drawn weapons deployed along Highway 1 in search of additional suspected cell members.

During the operation, forces detained two individuals on the highway, holding them on the ground for field interrogation and identity verification before transferring them for further security checks.
