  • Yemeni forces warned officers and troops against being drawn into recruitment drives intended to target and besiege fellow Yemeni citizens
  • Service members were instructed to contact their official commands to learn procedures for regularizing their status and receiving their complete salaries under official regulations

Yemeni Armed Forces and Security issued a statement warning military and security personnel residing in Houthi-controlled areas of Taiz Governorate against responding to recruitment and census calls issued by the Houthis.

The official directive cautions officers and military personnel against attempts by Houthi forces to enlist them into ongoing mobilization efforts.

The military statement characterized the recruitment drives as attempts to draw service members into military actions against local populations.

"The Armed Forces and Security call upon all personnel in areas controlled by the terrorist Houthi militia in Taiz Governorate not to respond to census and summons calls issued by the militia, and to beware of attempts to entice them into recruitment and mobilization," the statement said.

In addition to the warning, military authorities instructed all affected personnel to establish contact with their designated commands.

The announcement outlined that regularized administrative procedures and designated centers are available to process personnel files and ensure the disbursement of full salaries and entitlements in accordance with approved military regulations.
