- The Coalition endorsed the UK’s intelligence findings linking Iran directly to the security incident at the RAF Fairford air base in England.
- The statement explicitly cited recent European attacks targeting Jewish communities, media, and US targets.
A coalition of 29 Western nations issued a joint diplomatic statement on Monday, condemning Iran for “use of violent attacks, including the acts of lethal plotting, arson, sabotage, cyber-attacks, and other hybrid activities against us and our partners,” the statement said.
British intelligence said that it concluded the link of Iran to the September 27 security incident at RAF Fairford, stating that the event underscores the IRGC's ongoing efforts to execute covert attacks abroad using “proxy actors.”
UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham told MPs on Monday that the "foiled terror plot" at RAF Fairford last month was "almost certainly directed by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)."
The RAF Fairford security incident is a foiled "terror plot" at the military base in Gloucestershire, where armed police allegedly intercepted five men traveling in three suspicious vehicles toward the site in the early hours.
The statement also noted that condemnation comes after the recent “attacks across Europe targeting Jewish communities, Iranian journalists, and U.S. interests, claimed by Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya (HAYI).”
Reaffirming their collective security stance, the allied nations stated that “any attempt by Iran to threaten, silence, intimidate, harass, harm, or coerce people on our territories through proxies or any other means is unacceptable," adding that Iran “should be in no doubt that we are united and remain committed to safeguarding our sovereignty and strengthening our international coordination.”
