The Saudi Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen issued a press statement on Sunday, condemning Saturday's Houthi militia attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh as a terrorist act and a full-fledged war crime.

Coalition spokesperson Major General Turki Al-Malki stated that the attack carried out on Saturday, directly targeted one of the passenger terminals at the airport.

The strike resulted in fatalities and injuries among civilian travelers and airport workers.

Major General Al-Malki emphasized that targeting civilians and civil infrastructure violates international humanitarian law, its customary rules, and fundamental moral principles.

The statement noted that the nature of the attack against a civilian aviation hub elevates the act to a severe violation of international norms.

In response, the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition announced that it will deliver a firm response to the assault, maintaining that all retaliatory measures will comply with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
