7-year-old girl leads Gaza solidarity chants at Berlin demonstration

• This comes amid pro-Palestine demonstrations in multiple European cities days after the anniversary of Oct. 7, 2023.

A seven-year-old girl led chants before a large crowd at a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Berlin on Saturday, drawing a response from demonstrators gathered in solidarity with Gaza’s civilian population.

Footage of the moment captured by Ryad Aref shows the young girl calling out chants as the crowd responds in unison, turning the child’s participation into a striking moment during the demonstration.

The scene took place in the German capital on Oct. 10, amid continued public demonstrations in support of Palestinians and calls for attention to the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
