  • The Boeing 737 MAX 8 was en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv carrying 180 occupants.
  • 'Israel' allegedly scrambled fighter jets, temporarily closed national airspace, and established an emergency command center.

The ‘Israeli’ military air force was prepared to shoot down flydubai Flight after a cockpit attack sent the plane into a rapid 14,000-foot plunge toward the ground with more than 150 ‘Israelis’ on board, according to two ‘Israeli’ sources cited by CBS News.

The incident occurred aboard a commercial flight traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv carrying 174 passengers and six crew members.

According to the sources cited by CBS, ‘Israel’ activated long-established defense protocols designed for potential airborne threats after the aircraft suddenly lost altitude and air traffic controllers were unable to establish contact with the cockpit.

A specialized government committee was convened immediately, an emergency command center was established, ‘Israeli’ Air Force fighter jets were scrambled, and ‘Israeli’ authorities shut down the airspace, the sources noted.

The fighter jets were recalled after defense officials observed the aircraft turn south toward Saudi Arabia roughly 400 miles from ‘Israel’, at which point Saudi Arabian authorities scrambled their own fighter jets to monitor the flight.

The emergency began roughly two hours into the flight while cruising over the region.

The co-pilot reportedly launched a sudden attack against the aircraft's captain, Captain Smit Machchhar, using an “emergency crash axe” in an attempt to crash the plane.

Captain Machchhar claimed that he fought off his assailant long enough to unlock the cockpit door.

The commotion alerted cabin staff and passengers, including several ‘Israelis’, who rushed into the cockpit, overpowered the co-pilot, and secured him using corded headphones.

The aircraft subsequently executed a successful emergency landing at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Airport in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, where emergency medical teams and Saudi authorities met the plane.
