Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Force said on Thursday that six members of a “Takfiri terrorist group” had been killed during an operation in the Manzel-Ab area of Zahedan.
The public relations office of the IRGC Ground Force’s Qods Headquarters said the operation followed information provided by members of the public and intelligence monitoring.
The force said the group had been identified while planning to carry out an attack in the area and was subsequently targeted by IRGC forces.
The IRGC said six members of the group had been killed and that a number of explosive devices were discovered and seized during the operation.
It said clearing operations were still underway.
