Palestinian journalist Muhammad Abdul Aziz al-Najjar was killed in an ‘Israeli’ strike in the Khan Younis area of the Gaza Strip, Gaza’s Government Media Office said on Wednesday.
The office said al-Najjar worked as a journalist and broadcaster for Quran Radio, affiliated with Gaza’s Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.
The office said the latest death brings to 263 the number of Palestinian journalists killed since the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023.
It condemned what it described as the targeting and killing of Palestinian journalists and called on international and press organizations to condemn attacks against journalists and media workers in Gaza.
