Trump said he spoke with Netanyahu on FlyDubai incident

US President Donald Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that he spoke with 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding an in-flight security crisis aboard a FlyDubai aircraft bound for 'Israel'.

Recounting details conveyed during his conversation with Netanyahu, US President Trump stated that the flight's co-pilot launched an attack inside the cockpit in an apparent attempt to force the plane into a crash.

"He ripped this guy out of the seat, threw him back, the crowd got him, the passengers got him," Trump stated, describing the sequence of events relayed to him.

According to the account shared by Trump, a passenger -identified as an 'Israeli' plumber- acted quickly to subdue the co-pilot after he attacked the pilot in an attempt to bring down the aircraft.

"Having never flown a plane, he took the stick, lifted it up, and leveled out the plane before it crashed," Trump told reporters.

Trump described how the passenger pulled the attacker out of the cockpit seat and threw him back into the cabin, where other passengers and crew members restrained him.

The passenger then took hold of the flight controls to stabilize the aircraft's altitude before it impacted the ground.

While delivering the account during an Oval Office briefing, US President Trump emphasized that he was conveying the narrative directly as it was told to him by 'Israeli' Prime Minister.

"Now this is the story that I heard. I don't know if it's true, but that's the story that I got from Bibi and from a couple of probably early, I don't know if you've heard that story yet," Trump said.
