Pezeshkian: No dispute with US if it respects Iran’s rights

• Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran has no dispute with the US if Washington respects legal frameworks and Iran’s rights.
• He said Iran will continue negotiations despite previous attacks and pressure, while refusing to surrender its stated rights.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Sunday that Tehran has no dispute with the United States if Washington accepts legal frameworks and respects Iran’s rights.

“If America accepts the legal frameworks and our rights, we have no dispute with it. If it does not, we will never back down,” Pezeshkian said.

Pezeshkian said Iran has faced attacks whenever it entered negotiations, but has continued engaging in talks despite those setbacks.

“We have negotiated every time, and the other side attacked us. Nevertheless, we are still holding talks,” he said.

He added that pressure and military attacks would not force Iran to surrender.

“The other side will not be able to force us to surrender through pressure and attacks,” Pezeshkian said.

Pezeshkian said Iran is continuing negotiations to demonstrate internationally that it remains open to dialogue.

“We are holding talks so that it cannot be said around the world that Iran is not prepared for dialogue,” he said.

He also called for more efficient energy consumption ahead of winter, warning that Iran needs to prepare to ensure production does not come to a halt.
