The Houthis’ military spokesman Yahya Saree said on Sunday that the group’s air defences had shot down an armed surveillance drone belonging to Saudi Arabia over Yemen’s Hajjah province.
Saree said the Turkish-made Karayel drone was conducting what he described as hostile activity over the Al-Tinah area of Hajjah when it was brought down.
He said the drone was shot down using a suitable weapon.
