Gal Gadot donates $1M to “traumatized” ‘Israeli’ soldiers

• A matching initiative with the Jewish Funders Network brought the total funding to $3 million. 

‘Israeli’ actress Gal Gadot is directing $1 million from her 2026 Genesis Prize toward ‘Israeli’ mental health and trauma organizations, with a matching campaign bringing the total funding to $3 million, amid a growing backlash against pro-’Israel’ figures in the entertainment industry.

The funding will support 24 ‘Israeli’ nonprofits providing trauma care, mental health treatment and services for frontline workers, caregivers and others affected by the wars since OCt. 7, according to the Genesis Prize Foundation.

Gadot, who was named the 2026 Genesis Prize laureate, chose to donate the $1 million prize rather than retain it. A matching initiative led by the Jewish Funders Network generated a further $2 million in private and corporate donations, the foundation said.
